Learn more about the Cotton Bowl experience offered by College Sports Lab which allows up to 12 students to assist with the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

COTTON BOWL EXPERIENCE

Annually, the College Sports Lab at Texas A&M University provides the opportunity for up to 12 students to work on location at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. This event is held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Selected students will assist the Cotton Bowl staff with the execution of this large-scale event from Tuesday, December 26th, 2022 to Saturday,  December 30th, 2023.

The Cotton Bowl Experience is an opportunity presented to both current undergraduate and graduate TAMU students. For undergraduate students, this event can count towards your Top Gun status (and add quality experience to your resume!).

An event of this magnitude has various components including, but not limited to: team hospital visits, marketing and promotions, social media management, event/game day management, and assisting the media relations staff. The wide range of opportunities offered allows for students to gain a well-rounded experience and build valuable connections in the field. Our agreement with the Cotton Bowl is that our students will be supervised by Dr. Shane Hudson and assist the Cotton Bowl Staff as needed.

The 2017 Cotton Bowl Experience was highlighted by an increased social media presence by CSL, which was fueled by the students who were a part of the week-long event. Through various social network mediums, students promoted and informed others of the activities and efforts executed by the students during their time at the Cotton Bowl Experience.

The Cotton Bowl Connection

The Cotton Bowl Connection was established in 2019 to connect the elite alumni that have participated in the Aggie Cotton Bowl Experience. The purpose of the Cotton Bowl Foundation is to create an alumni network of individuals in the Sport Industry and continue the connection between Texas A&M and the Cotton Bowl in years to come. Please feel free to post about various opportunities available or any help needed. This site provides the opportunity to reach out to previous interns or connect with potential professionals in the field.
