AGGIE MEN'S BASKETBALL VS. GEORGIA
The Texas A&M Aggies withstood the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday, February 15, with an electrifying 74-69 win at Reed Arena. Freshman forward, Emanuel Miller led the way for the Aggies and received his second career double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Georgia had a solid first half shooting 50% (15-of-30) from the field and outrebounding Texas A&M 21-10, to take a 39-28 lead at halftime. The Aggies came out of the locker room determined and went on an 11-2 run concluding with a Savion Flagg alley-oop pass to Emanuel Miller for a slam dunk that put Reed Arena on their feet to tie the game 40-40 with 15:05 remaining in the game. The defensive intensity was a big factor for the Aggies in Saturday’s win; they forced 21 turnovers resulting in 26 points. A combination of late-game turnovers by the Bulldogs and hitting 21-of-29 free-throws for the Aggies landed Texas A&M the comeback win. This win places the Aggies back in the win column as they remain at .500 on the season. The Aggies travel to Tuscaloosa on Wednesday, February 19, to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide.
