AGGIE MEN'S BASKETBALL VS. FLORIDA

The sharpshooting by the Florida Gators on Wednesday, February 12, put away the Texas A&M Aggies, 78-61. The Gators shot 12-of-27 from behind the three-point line resulting in 36 points. The first half was a steady race between the two teams with both shooting near 50% from the field. The Aggies trailed by three heading into the half, 37-34; they were able to cut the deficit to two early in the second half off of a three-pointer by Emanuel Miller. However, the Aggies didn’t remain close for long, the Gators went on a 14-4 run expanding their lead to 53-41. The Aggies then entered into a scoring drought for close to eight minutes and didn’t gain nearly enough defensive rebounds to allow the chance to make plays on the offensive side; this resulted in the Gators securing 14 second-chance opportunities and netting 18 points. Emanuel Miller led the Aggies with 19 points, Josh Nebo with 12, and Savion Flagg adding 11. This was the second straight loss and the third in the last four games. The Aggies look to get back into the win column as they host the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday, February 15, at Reed Arena in College Station.
