AGGIE MEN'S BASKETBALL VS. ALABAMA

The Texas A&M Aggies rolled over the Alabama Crimson Tide on Wednesday, February 19, at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa. The Aggies won their second straight game and held the Tide, who are the nation’s number two scoring team to 15 points under their season average. Texas A&M started the game on an 8-0 run, which is always a good confidence booster on the road. However, the Tide were able to go on a 12-0 run and eventually took the lead heading into halftime 34-28. For a majority of the second half, Alabama led, while A&M trailed within close striking distance. Texas A&M was down by three with 3:57 left but took the lead on a 12-0 run. Quenton Jackson hit a clutch three-pointer in the final minute to help lift Texas A&M to a 74-68 victory. Jackson hit 13-of-14 free-throws and scored a season-high 20 points in landing a starting position for the Aggies. Texas A&M hosts Mississippi State, Saturday, February 22, at Reed Arena.
