AGGIE MEN'S BASKETBALL VS. LSU
Texas A&M falls back to .500 in the season (14-14) and in conference play (8-8) with Saturday’s loss to LSU, 64-50. LSU pretty much had this game secured from the beginning, allowing A&M to lead in only the first possession, 3-0. The Tigers maintained at least a seven-point lead in the entire second half. All in all, it wasn’t a very exciting game of basketball for the Aggies. The Aggies did well on securing rebounds in this matchup against LSU, grabbing 33 total rebounds compared to LSU’s 35. LSU did an excellent job of taking care of the basketball, committing a season-low of four turnovers. This wasn’t the ideal scenario for the Aggies, not being able to get easy transition fast breakpoints. However, A&M was able to shoot the ball well, 40% (20-of-49) from the field and 39% (9-of-23) from behind the arc. The Aggies look to swallow their second consecutive loss and move forward as they face another tough SEC matchup on Wednesday, March 4, as they take on the Auburn Tigers.
